Michael S. Kun, national Chairperson of the firm’s Wage and Hour practice group, was featured in Law360, in “The Do’s and Don’ts for Your Law Firm App.” (Read the full version - subscription required.)

Mr. Kun describes his experience with creating and updating Epstein Becker Green’s complimentary Wage & Hour Guide for Employers app, which provides nationwide wage and hour information for employers, human resources personnel, and in-house counsel.

Following is an excerpt:

Making an app isn't a two-person project with a quick turnaround time. Regardless of scope, it takes a lot of work and involves a lot of hands, according to Mike Kun, co-creator of Epstein Becker Green's Wage & Hour Guide for Employers and chair of the firm's wage and hour group.

"The best advice I could give to any attorney creating an app is to rely on people you trust and to know your limitations," Kun said. "While I am sure that there are some attorneys who have the development and IT skills necessary to lend a hand in those areas, I suspect they are few and far between." …

And Epstein Becker's app, which got a big update in August, contains the contributions of a team of developers, designers, information technology personnel and attorneys, according to Kun.

"There were literally dozens of people who contributed to the creation of the app, and who continue to contribute to updating its content," Kun said. "It is a deceptively complex process to develop an app that is so easy to use."
