Lynn Shapiro Snyder, a Senior Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, in the Washington, DC, office, was quoted in an article titled "Former Chief Scientist: Israel to Continue as High-Tech Power," by Maayan Jaffe.

Following is an excerpt:

Dr. Orna Berry, today the vice president and manager of Center of Excellence for Israel-EMC Corporation, spoke to a crowd of 80 at the Jan. 12 Maryland/Israel Development Center (MIDC) event at Johns Hopkins University's Montgomery County Campus in Rockville. She said Israel's high-tech arena will continue to thrive because the country is "sufficiently paranoid to always be transformational and to have a competitive edge."

Snyder said, "It is particularly inspiring to see a woman at the head of such a powerful Israeli sector."
