Following is an excerpt:

Epstein Becker Green announced its latest health care practice group-focused hire Tuesday, adding a longtime Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease LLP partner in Columbus, Ohio, who has spent more than 30 years representing health care providers in areas such as data use and information technology.

Lisa Pierce Reisz joined Epstein Becker's health care and life sciences practice as a member this week, after spending her entire career with Vorys, which she joined in 1992 after graduating from Ohio State University's Moritz College of Law.

Reisz told Law360 Pulse that she chose to join Epstein Becker because of the firm's recent growth in the Columbus area, along with its national platform that spans 18 cities across the nation.

"It was a pretty big change, but it's pretty hard to ignore what [Epstein Becker] brings to Columbus," she said. "The national platform is an amazing thing for the clients I've worked with for a long time and for the clients I hope to work with that are already here."

Late last year, Epstein Becker opened a permanent office space in downtown Columbus, as the fast-growing location more than doubled its headcount since opening in 2021.

"Columbus is a great place to practice health care law as the city is undergoing huge development," Reisz said. "[Epstein Becker] opened its office at the perfect time. There's a core of lawyers that are going to be a force here, bringing their talents and skills to the burgeoning markets of Columbus."
