John Tishler, a retired Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis leader, has joined Epstein Becker & Green, the Nashville Business Journal reported Tuesday.

Tishler was the chair of Waller from 2008 to 2014 and retired from the firm in July. He has been tasked with helping EBG, one of the nation’s largest health care firms, grow its Nashville presence.

John C. Tishler has joined Epstein Becker Green as a member of the law firm in Nashville, Tenn., the firm said Tuesday.

Tishler, who was Waller’s chairman from 2008 to 2014, counsels creditors and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings for clients in the health care industry, said the firm.

He has experience facilitating transactions for hospitals, health systems, and health care companies, the firm said.

John Tishler, a former director of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis, has joined Epstein Becker & Green, the Nashville Business Journal reported Tuesday.

Tishler served as Waller’s chairman from 2008 to 2014 and left the firm in July. He was hired to help EBG, one of the nation’s largest healthcare companies, expand its presence in Nashville.

Tishler said so NBJ that Waller and EBG were considering a merger when Tishler was Waller’s chairman.

EBG plans to grow from 12 on-site lawyers to 20 over the next year.
