New York, NY (September 26, 2013) — The national law firm of Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Jeremy M. Brown has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice, in the Newark office.

Brown was formerly with Proskauer in its Labor and Employment Law Department. His practice concentrates on complex employment litigation at the state and federal levels, including claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; whistleblower claims; claims of defamation, breach of contract, and intentional torts; and claims under the FLSA and state wage and hour laws. He has also handled a number of high-profile class action litigations involving allegations of gender discrimination in compensation and promotion and has counseled extensively on union organizing issues, strike preparation and strategy, election campaigns, and day-to-day contract administration issues.

"I have known Jeremy since he started practicing law in 1995. He is a first-rate labor and employment lawyer who will be a wonderful addition to our labor-management relations and employment litigation practices," said David W. Garland, Chair of the firm's National Labor Steering Committee. "Jeremy is our third partner who has joined us from Proskauer during the last two years. Adam Abrahms joined EBG's Los Angeles office in 2012 and Ian Schaefer joined EBG's New York office earlier this year. These additions are an affirmation of our focus on providing the highest quality work while delivering value to our clients," Garland added.

Brown said, "I am delighted to join a team of attorneys who are well-respected among the legal and business communities when it comes to handling clients' complex labor and employment matters. I feel that Epstein Becker Green will provide me with the platform I need to take my practice to the next level, and I look forward to working and collaborating with the team."

Brown is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association's Labor and Employment Section. He was ranked in the Labor and Employment Litigation category of The Legal 500 United States in 2010-2013, selected for inclusion in New Jersey Super Lawyers in 2012-2013 and named a Rising Star in New Jersey in 2007-2009, and included in the New Jersey Law Journal's "Forty Under 40" list in 2009.
