Jeffrey H. Ruzal, a Senior Counsel in the Labor and Employment practice, in the firm’s New York office, was quoted by SHRM.org, in “Proposed Overtime Rule Will Result in Fewer Managers,” by Allen Smith.
Following is an excerpt:
Budgeting for the huge jump in the proposed minimum salary threshold is “a significant issue for many employers, who are either going to have to increase salaries, redefine the jobs at issue or potentially make adjustments to their workforce, including, in some instances, job elimination,” Jeffrey Ruzal, an attorney at Epstein Becker Green in New York City, said in an interview. “Many employers simply do not realize enough of a profit to absorb additional and significant operating expenses.”
