“I think his first big challenge will be administrative, necessarily, and not with respect to a specific policy,” said Epstein Becker Green member and former DOL Solicitor’s Office attorney Jeffrey Ruzal. “Which is to say, making sure that department heads are in place who could carry out the policy.” …
Chief on the list of day-one priorities will be selecting a solicitor, who as de facto general counsel for the DOL helps shape policy and oversees enforcement across the DOL’s departments, Ruzal said.
