Epstein Becker Green has wooed former Littler Mendelson PC board member Jimmy Oh over to its Chicago office, where he’ll work as a member of its employment, labor and workforce management practice, the firm announced Wednesday.
Oh, who started at EBG Monday, brings to the firm extensive experience handling high-stakes employment litigation for employers in various industries. He told Law360 on Wednesday he joined the firm after being “impressed with how highly skilled and experienced and professional and collegial” the firm’s attorneys are.
“I felt it was a great place,” Oh said. “I could continue to service my clients … and thought I’d have a great talent pool here to do that with.” …
David Garland, who chairs EBG’s employment, labor and workforce management steering committee, said he sought out Oh on the recommendation of a trusted client.
“He’s been a leader at his firm,” Garland said. “He’s exactly the kind of lawyer and person who we’re delighted to have join us as we continue doing all that we can to fulfill our commitment on client service excellence. It’s very exciting to have him, particularly in Chicago and as part of our nationwide practice.” …
“Jimmy is a great addition and will add to the overall growth and success of EBG’s national workforce management practice,” Chicago office managing partner Peter Steinmeyer said in a statement.
EBG has brought on several notable attorneys in the past 18 months, including former U.S. Department of Labor wage-and-hour division Administrator Paul DeCamp, Venable LLP West Coast employment practice leader Richard Frey, and Major League Baseball deputy general counsel Jennifer Gefsky.
