Epstein Becker Green
John “Jack” T. Gilbertson has joined Epstein Becker Green’s health care and life sciences practice in Los Angeles after spending over nine years at Dentons.
Gilbertson, who was most recently senior counsel at Denton Wilde Sapte LLP, will work with health systems, physician groups and pharmaceutical manufacturers on contacting, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters, the firm said. He has also worked on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement matters, government investigations and executive compensation.
“I have long admired EBG’s health care and life sciences team and multi-disciplinary strategic focus,” Gilbertson said in a statement. “The opportunity to link my decades of experience within the industry with a firm that so fully supports and understands its complexities is something I cannot wait to experience for myself, as well as to offer to my clients.”
Earlier in his career, Gilbertson worked on health regulatory and compliance matters at Deloitte & Touche LLP and was a partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP, before it eventually became SNR Denton. As a certified public accountant, he also worked in audit and tax consulting for nearly a decade at Ernst & Young LLP.
He earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
“Jack tackles client issues for his health care clients in a holistic way given his combined legal and consulting experience,” Mark Lutes, Chair of EBG’s Board of Directors said in a statement. “It’s an approach that we have long believed in and executed here at EBG, and we are thrilled to add him to our like-minded team of business and legal professionals.”
