Arthur J. Fried, Member of the Firm, will present "Making Social Determinants of Health Models Pay," at the Health Management Associates' Make Your New Risk Model Pay conference.

Community-based organizations are important partners when it comes to addressing social determinants of health in a population health-based model. The problem is that CBOs don’t have the scale or resources to effectively share risk and data. The challenge for hospitals and other providers is how to involve CBOs in population health models in a cost-effective way. During the workshop, speakers will discuss a several models for bringing CBOs into the mix, including the highly successful Pathways Hub model in New York.
