Amy Lerman, Member of the Firm, will co-present "Health Law and the Coronavirus: What Attorneys at the Front Line of the Pandemic Need to Know," a webinar hosted by Bloomberg Law.

The novel coronavirus has presented unprecedented challenges for health care companies. Hospitals and other health care providers are facing a vast array of challenges, from shortages of beds, respirators, and protective gear to uncertainty around reimbursement for testing and treatment to a rise in the use of telemedicine. These challenges are being met by organizations that already faced complex regulatory regimes, changing payment systems, hurdles in adopting new technologies, and myriad compliance risks.

In response to the pandemic, state and federal regulators have temporarily waived various rules, such as those governing privacy, licensing, and provider location. They have also adjusted coverage and payment requirements to make telehealth more accessible and alleviate some of the financial uncertainty providers face during the crisis. This webinar is designed to help attorneys representing health care providers understand how to adjust their existing policies and practices under these new waivers. It will also provide best practices for staying compliant and meeting new challenges introduced by the pandemic.
