Hospital, Physician Practice Consolidation
Hospital consolidation is becoming more active following a slowdown due to the pandemic, Anjana Patel, a member of Epstein Becker Green’s Newark office, said. Hospital/health systems transactions totaled 14 in October and 91 year-to-date.
Hospital consolidations are “expected to increase substantially over the next 6-12 months as smaller independent hospitals seek to partner with larger hospital systems to benefit from their robust infrastructure and considerable capital,” Patel said.
