New York, NY (November 10, 2014) – The national law firm of Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Joshua A. Stein, a labor and employment lawyer with vast Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliance experience, has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor, and Workforce Management practice. He will be based in the firm's New York office and co-chairs the ADA and Public Accommodations Group.

Stein comes to Epstein Becker Green from Proskauer, where he was co-chair of the Accessibility & Accommodations practice group. His practice focuses on various employment law issues, including, but not limited to, ADA, Family Medical Leave Act and Rehabilitation Act compliance, accessibility of public accommodations and technology, leave laws, employee discipline, separation/discharge, and harassment. He has represented clients before the U.S. Department of Justice, Department of Labor, and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Office of State Attorney Generals, as well as state and local human rights agencies. He has also represented clients in industries ranging from sports and entertainment, retail, cruise lines, media, and hospitality and lodging, to financial services, publishing, and health care.

“Josh knows the ADA and other accommodations laws and regulations and required compliance issues inside and out,” said David W. Garland, Chair of the firm’s Labor and Employment Steering Committee. “Our clients, in a number of industries, will benefit from his extensive experience conducting both on-site and plan-based review of brick-and-mortar facilities and analyses of accessible seating options in places of public assembly, as well as his experience determining the accessibility of websites and other technology, a newer area within ADA compliance work.”

“We are pleased to welcome Josh and to add his considerable ADA experience to our practice,” added Peter L. Altieri, Managing Shareholder of the firm’s New York office. “Josh is recognized as a leader in this field, and, as we continue to build our team, attracting talented lawyers like Josh, who work in areas that are of significance to our clients, is key to our growth strategy.”

“Epstein Becker provides the perfect platform for me and the clients I represent. Its commitment to providing client solutions is outstanding, and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues,” said Stein.
