Tryphena Liu, Associate, serves as a guest lecturer in "Best Practices for Effective HR Collaboration with Legal Counsel," the sixth session in Special Topics in Human Resources Leadership, an executive education course at UCLA Law.

With constant changes in state and federal employment laws and an increase in employers’ exposure to lawsuits and large verdicts, HR must collaborate effectively with attorneys. Whether the company is involved in litigation, needs advice and counsel, or is conducting an internal investigation, HR can play a key role in an attorney’s representation of the company. Comprised of leaders of Labor and Employment Law Section of the California Lawyers Association with several decades of practice experience and careers as in-house counsel, former HR professionals, outside counsel, and workplace investigators, the panelists will provide broad perspectives and relevant strategic insights for HR leaders.
