Even though artificial intelligence (AI) has been around for decades, its utilization has exploded over the past five years and has allowed for more efficient and accurate business processes. However, public and government professionals need to consider and understand the transparency and trustworthiness issues that accompany the use of AI tools. This panel discussion explores AI in a number of areas, including how “the machine” is trained, what factors are used to shape various algorithms, and what the future will hold in this new era.
