The Focus on Individual Accountability Increases: Fundamentals of OIG Discretionary Exclusions

George B. Breen, Member of the Firm and Chair of the firm's National Health Care and Life Sciences Practice Steering Committee, will moderate "The Focus on Individual Accountability Increases: Fundamentals of OIG Discretionary Exclusions," a webinar hosted by the American Health Lawyers Association.

This fundamentals program will offer an overview of Office of Inspector General discretionary exclusions. The presentation will begin with a review of the difference between mandatory and discretionary exclusion, and between affirmative and derivative exclusions. The government's new focus on individual accountability, the technical aspects of an exclusion case, and strategies for reducing clients' exposure to discretionary exclusion will also be discussed.
