Telehealth providers must consider a myriad of complex, and sometimes competing, regulatory considerations. For example, providing telehealth services to patients located in multiple states requires compliance with multiple state laws. Due to the increasing regulatory complexity, some providers are unaware of these requirements. While enforcement in this area has not historically been a priority for most regulators, this is quickly changing.
