Lisa Pierce Reisz, Member of the Firm, presents “Federal and State Data Privacy Enforcement: Avoiding the Traps” at the Ohio Health Information Management Association (OHIMA) 2024 Annual Meeting & Trade Show, which runs from March 18 to 20.
The OCR, the FTC, state regulators, and class action plaintiff's lawyers are all actively seeking to enforce the ever-evolving patchwork of data privacy and security laws that crisscross the United States. This session will review both the content of and risks related to enforcement of these laws, as well as provide practical tips to mitigate risk related to the use an exchange of such information.
