Shawndra Jones, Senior Counsel, will co-present "'Remote' Lawyering: Competence, Confidentiality, and Supervision Issues," a CLE webinar hosted by the New York State Bar Association.
Many attorneys may have found themselves unexpectedly working remotely as COVID-19 quickly and significantly changed the workplace and the ways in which attorneys interacted with clients, courts, colleagues, and each other. Under the circumstances, a number of attorneys may continue to work outside of an office, relying heavily on a remote framework. With the rise in remote working, what technology should attorneys consider using in their practice? And what are some of the ethical and cybersecurity considerations of which attorneys in particular need to be aware? This webinar will discuss such considerations, focusing on competence, confidentiality, and supervision issues for both in-house and outside counsel to consider while working remotely.
