Managing in the #MeToo Era: The Latest Legal Developments and Their Implications for Health Care Employers

Epstein Becker Green invites you to an interactive roundtable discussion on the implications of the #MeToo movement for members of the health care industry.

The #MeToo era is in full swing, and it shows no signs of subsiding anytime soon. For a host of reasons, the health care industry is a particularly vulnerable target of the movement, along with Time’s Up, #MeToo’s sister campaign. We will lead you through an in-depth discussion on creating a workplace environment free from harassment and discrimination, including the critical role senior leadership plays in creating an anti-harassment culture. This roundtable will also address how proper policies, training, and substantive investigations can reduce occurrences of sexual harassment. In addition, we will discuss new and pending legislative changes, including limitations on the use of confidentiality or nondisclosure agreements, which have important implications for the highest levels of management, given the risk of unwanted publicity and reputational damage.
