Class and collective action claims alleging that workers have been misclassified as independent contractors are being filed with increased regularity, and the potential exposure in these cases can be enormous. Our speakers will cover developments in the law with regard to classifying workers as independent contractors. This will include a discussion of the different standards for independent contractor status under federal and state laws, such as the new “ABC” test in California.
