Philo Hall, Member of the Firm, and Rachel Snyder Good, Strategic Counsel, co-present "After the Supreme Court’s Chevron Decision - What’s Next for Federal Health Care Legislation and Regulation?" at the America's Physician Groups (APG) Fall Conference, which runs from November 11 to 13.
The U.S. Supreme Court’s July 2024 decision in the case of Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo overturned a 40-year-old precedent that gave broad deference to federal regulatory agencies when they interpret and help to implement laws enacted by Congress. The decision opens the door for new legal challenges against existing health care regulations and could force Congress to write far more specific and detailed legislation than it has done in the past. In this session, the panel discusses what the High Court’s decision could really mean for Congress, federal agencies, and laws and regulations across a host of health care programs and areas – from Medicare Advantage to pharmaceutical regulation.
