Members of the Firm Steve Kleinman and Jeremy Morris, Senior Counsel Kimberly Parks, and Associate Avery Schumacher speak at the 48th Annual National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) Educational Conference & Exhibition, which runs from September 29 to October 2.

On October 2, Jeremy and Avery present “Who Wants to Be a Medical Staff Extraordinaire? Disruptive Practitioner Edition,” during which participants will learn to:

  • Describe legal reasons why it is important to deal with disruptive practitioners appropriately,
  • List options for appropriately handling disruptive practitioners, and
  • Describe elements that should be included in a disruptive practitioner policy.

Later that day, Jeremy, Steve, Kimberly, and Avery present “Legal Insights Q&A: Addressing Your Top 10 Medical Staff Topics.” Topics include:

  • Sharing information about problem providers
  • Aging practitioner policies
  • Telehealth (credentialing by proxy, prescribing)
  • Medical staff documents
  • Scope of practice
