Alan J. Arville, Member of the Firm, will speak at the 340B Coalition 20th Annual Summer Conference, which runs from July 11 to 13, 2016.

Mr. Arville will first co-present a breakout session for 340B service providers on Monday, July 11 at 4:15 pm. Participants in the session will share perspectives and information on a range of 340B hot topics, including Medicaid managed care, 340B claim identification, contract pharmacy oversight, and the use of contract pharmacy to serve low-income uninsured patients.

On Tuesday, July 12 at 1:45 pm, Mr. Arville will co-present "340B Operations: Experiences from the Field." Speakers will discuss the important legal, business, and operational considerations for covered entities and contract pharmacies as they evaluate whether to enter into an agreement and negotiate a contract pharmacy arrangement.

Finally, Mr. Arville will co-lead a small group discussion and roundtable session on Wednesday, July 13 at 8:15 am titled "Third-Party Payer Challenges & Developments." Over the last few years, a number of third-party payers have tried to contract with 340B pharmacies on different terms than those applied to non-340B pharmacies. This roundtable session will discuss why these trends are occurring, how they impact covered entities and their patients, and the payer's perspective on the 340B program and reimbursement of 340B drugs.
