Nashville, TN (May 1, 2023) Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce the arrival of Heath Edwards as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice in Nashville. He joins EBG from FordHarrison.

Heath represents health care clients in many facets of labor and employment law and has provided counsel to some of the largest health care organizations in the nation. His experience also includes serving as interim employment counsel at a national health care provider with over 15,000 employees. Recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Labor Law – Management (2023), Heath’s practice ranges from wage and hour claims to trade secret disputes and more. Beyond his work with health care clients, Heath represents employers in manufacturing, hospitality, retail, and other industries.

“EBG’s Nashville office offers ideal positioning to service clients navigating issues at the intersection of health care and labor and employment,” said Heath. “Not only will this help expand my practice’s capabilities in this niche, but it will also provide important opportunities to collaborate with the firm’s exceptional talent base across both sides of the business while contributing to the firm’s significant growth in the Southeast.”

A skilled litigator with a penchant for resolving challenges before they reach the courtroom, Heath has successfully obtained summary judgment in an array of matters on behalf of clients across the United States and has represented clients in whistleblower actions, noncompete litigation, and charges and lawsuits brought under a wide range of federal and state labor and employment laws.

Heath has also represented clients in multiple U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals and has defended employers in administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, and corresponding state agencies.

“EBG is always focused on expanding our employment law and litigation practices with talented lawyers, and Heath is now part of that expansion in Nashville,” said David W. Garland, Chair of the firm’s national Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Steering Committee. “Heath’s particular focus on representing health care employers, his experience in the Southeast, and his ability to lead clients to creative solutions aligns perfectly with our team’s goals and culture.”

Heath serves as a Member of the American Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Bar Association. He was previously a part of the Pro Bono Counsel in the Equal Justice Works and Habitat for Humanity.

His addition continues the growth of EBG’s Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice nationwide and in its Nashville office. Heath joins just months after labor and employment attorney Jeb Gerth, as well as experienced health care attorneys Ryan Cochran and John Tishler, joined the Nashville team.

“It is thrilling to see that as the Nashville region continues its exciting growth and development, EBG Nashville continues to build its depth,” said Chris Dunn, Member of the Firm and Managing Member of EBG’s Nashville office. “We are focused and at the ready to help clients navigate opportunities and challenges ranging from transactions and claims in construction to health care delivery obstacles and innovations, to changing employment regulations, and more.”
