Dallas, TX (November 18, 2021)Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Edward J. Loya, Jr., has been elected to serve as the Vice President of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association (DHBA) Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2022.

The Dallas Hispanic Bar Association provides a forum through which Hispanic attorneys in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex can come together to exchange ideas and to pursue common goals. The purpose of the Association is to promote the social, economic, educational, professional, and civic advancement of the DFW Metroplex Hispanic community by making the legal system more accessible and more responsive to its needs.

“With so much growth here in DFW and opportunity for the DHBA, I am looking forward to serving in this role and working collaboratively with the incoming President and fellow Board members to support our membership in all aspects of their professional growth and careers. I am grateful to EBG for supporting my work on behalf of this great organization,” Loya said.

“Edward has been a champion of diversity within the Dallas/Fort Worth legal community. In support of his efforts, EBG supported, financially and philosophically, the launch of DHBA’s Judicial Externship Program, which will provide Texas law students interested in practicing in DFW the opportunity to extern in the chambers of local federal and state judges. We are proud to have Edward serve in such a respected role and to continue our support of the DHBA,” said Jim Flynn, Managing Director of the Firm.

A trial attorney and former federal prosecutor, Edward is a Member of the Firm’s Litigation & Business Disputes and Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice groups. He focuses on civil, employment, and criminal litigation matters and represents companies and individuals in investigations, prosecutions, and regulatory actions initiated by government agencies. Based in Dallas, he practices throughout the United States and also has offices in Los Angeles and New York. As a strong advocate for his peers in the Hispanic legal community, he also serves as the Chair of DHBA’s Judicial Diversity Committee and the Chair of the Hispanic National Bar Association’s Criminal Law Section.
