Los Angeles, CA (January 31, 2022) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Emily T. Patajo has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice. Emily joins EBG from Littler Mendelson P.C., where she was co-chair of its Alternative Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Emily represents employers in high-value matters venued in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration. Her years in advocating at the trial and appellate level have served to inform her very practical approach to employer-advice issues. This experience includes routinely assessing employer risk and analyzing personnel-discipline and wrongful-termination issues, unlawful discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She is also highly sought after for advice on wage and hour and class action cases.
“Emily is a respected employment litigator who brings a deep understanding of the industries we represent and the problems our clients face,” said David W. Garland, Chair of the firm’s national Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Steering Committee. “Additionally, Emily’s in-house experience at a global biotech firm will be particularly helpful given EBG’s industry focus in life sciences.”
“I am excited to join the talented and robust team of labor and employment attorneys in Los Angeles and nationally, including some of my former colleagues who have joined EBG,” said Ms. Patajo. “I look forward to collaborating on workplace and workforce solutions as clients face evolving challenges and embrace new opportunities. EBG’s focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as professional-development initiatives, have also piqued my interest, and I look forward to assisting in these important efforts.”
