Epstein Becker Green is bolstering its health care and corporate practices with the addition of Glenn P. Prives, who is joining the firm from his previous role as partner at Greenbaum Rowe Smith & Davis LLP. …
He said he was drawn to Epstein Becker because of the firm's "deep bench in health care law, its unparalleled reputation in the industry and its national platform, all of which will be good for my clients."
His professional relationship with other Epstein Becker attorneys practicing in the health care area also helped him make the decision to join the firm, he said.
"I have known Gary Herschman and Anjana Patel for years," Prives told Law360 Pulse on Tuesday. "Their success at EBG inspired me to join." …
The health care industry, according to Prives, is evolving and adapting due to the impact of COVID-19, and he believes Epstein Becker has the ability to assist with this transformation.
"The pandemic is leading more and more entrepreneurial health care providers and stakeholders to expand their services across state borders for the first time," he explained. "A firm like EBG can draw on its national resources and help a client coordinate their expansion strategy."
Prives, who is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York, is planning on drawing from more than a decade of practice experience to further assist clients at Epstein Becker, he said.
"I am also hoping to expand my practice as some of my clients grow from local and regional companies to national companies," he said. "I am seeking to bring my transactional and regulatory experience to deepen EBG's bench."
He has assisted clients on both sides of a transaction, which he believes is a further benefit.
"As someone who has led deal teams on both sell-side and buy-side, I believe I can help EBG further expand their robust mergers and acquisitions practice," he said. "I have also served as outside general counsel to many clients of differing sizes who do not have in-house counsel. That and my fraud and abuse regulatory experience will also allow me to contribute to EBG's bench."
