Following is an excerpt:

Epstein Becker Green on Monday announced that it has bolstered its health care and life sciences and litigation practices at the firm’s New Jersey and New York offices with the addition of 15 attorneys from Sills Cummis & Gross PC.

The hires were headlined by the additions of Gary W. Herschman and Anjana D. Patel, who both previously served as co-chairs of the health care practice at Sills Cummis, and Anthony Argiropoulos and Jack Wenik, Sills Cummis’ former co-chair of the litigation department and former co-chair of the health care government investigations practice group, respectively. …

“By far, the No.1 reason is EBG’s very large and reputable national health care practice,” Herschman said. “In light of the implementation of health reform, all health care providers and businesses … are in the midst of significant consolidation, restructuring, joint ventures and other strategic transformations. Health care clients are gravitating more and more to national health care practices, like EBG, that have significant depth and breadth of subspecialization.”

Herschman noted that the group was also drawn to Epstein Becker’s “stellar reputation,” as well as its “culture and collegiality at all levels.”
