Epstein Becker Green is proud to announce that the Firm has been included among a select group of American law firms that have received "special honors" by the American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) as part of its Awards of Excellence for 2009.

Law firms receiving special honors are those with the largest number of AHLA members. Epstein Becker Green ranked third on the association's annual list.

Epstein Becker Green also is on the AHLA's national "honor roll," which recognizes law firms that have 100 percent of their health law practice groups as members of the AHLA. In addition, the Firm is on the AHLA's regional honor roll (for the Northeast) and on the honor rolls for three states: New Jersey, Washington, DC and New York.

Epstein Becker Green is noted among law firms having the most members enrolled in nine of the AHLA's 16 practice groups: Antitrust; Fraud & Abuse; Healthcare Liability and Litigation; Hospitals and Health Systems; Labor and Employment; Life Sciences; Payors, Plans and Managed Care; Physician Organizations; and Regulation, Accreditation and Payment.

The rankings represent the number of lawyers who were members of the AHLA as of May 25, 2009. The AHLA is the nation's largest, nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) educational organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field with more than 10,000 members.
