New York, NY (June 8, 2009) — The law firm Epstein Becker Green, which was recognized in a recent study for its large number of minority attorneys, announced today that it has been ranked among the top ten firms in the nation for its percentage of women lawyers in a new study by The American Lawyer.

This ranking is a acknowledgment of our strong commitment since the Firm’s inception.”
Epstein Becker Green is one of only four law firms in the nation that made the top-20 lists of both the “Women in Law Firms” study and the Minority Law Journal’s 2009 “Diversity Scorecard.”
Recently, The Minority Law Journal, a sister publication of The American Lawyer, ranked Epstein Becker Green 6thin the nation for its number of minority partners. For its annual report on diversity among law firms, the magazine surveyed more than 200 of the country’s largest and highest-grossing firms as ranked by The National Law Journal and The American Lawyer. Kenneth Standard, General Counsel and Chair of the Firm’s Diversity and Professional Development Committee states, “We are pleased that The Minority Law Journal has recognized our dedication to diversity and our diversity achievements in its most recent survey. The Firm has consistently sought to promote diversity in every respect, not limited to racial and ethnic diversity, and not only internally but within the legal profession and the justice system in general. While we are proud of the recognition of our achievements, we know that much more needs to be done, and we will continue to work to maintain and enhance the Firm’s diversity.
