Washington, DC (October 1, 2015) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that Adam S. Forman has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Employment, Labor, and Workforce Management practice. He will be based in Detroit and Chicago. In addition, Robert J. Hudock returns as a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, in the Washington, DC office, after serving as Chief Privacy and Data Security Officer and Senior Vice President at SAIC, a major intelligence, military, aerospace, engineering, and systems contractor.
To meet market trends and demands in an increasingly digital age, EBG has continued to evolve its services related to privacy and security issues that companies of all sizes may face. Mr. Forman, who focuses on employee use of technology in the workplace, and Mr. Hudock, who focuses on the technical challenges of securing data systems, help round out EBG’s capabilities.

Returning to EBG after managing all aspects of privacy and cybersecurity compliance at SAIC, Mr. Hudock’s practice focuses on data breach and response, national security law, cybersecurity, and global privacy and data security. Mr. Hudock has represented clients before federal and state government agencies in connection with a range of issues, including Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights (OCR) investigations, national security-related investigations, cybersecurity matters, and Attorney General investigations into security breaches. He counsels clients on preparing for, and responding to, cyber-based attacks on their networks and information, assessing clients’ security controls and practices for the protection of data, developing and implementing information security programs, and complying with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Mr. Hudock, who was named to a “Rising Stars” list by Washington, DC Super Lawyers in 2013, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He is also certified by the National Security Agency to perform INFOSEC Assessment Methodology (IAM) audits under FISMA and by the Health Information Trust Alliance (HTIRUST) as a Certified CSF Practitioner, an organization that provides training to develop and maintain effective security programs for health care and life sciences companies. In addition, he is a Certified Ethical Hacker, a professional certification provided by the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants.

The 2015 edition of Chambers USA notes that Mr. Forman “is a renowned expert in social media issues relating to the workplace” who also “focuses on litigation, training and preventive advice on the employment side.” A frequent writer and national lecturer on issues related to technology in the workplace, such as social media, Internet, and privacy issues facing employers, Mr. Forman is often interviewed by newspapers, radio, and legal blogs on those topics. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the 2015 supplement to Bloomberg BNA’s Workplace Data: Law and Litigation. He was also recently named to Bloomberg BNA’s Labor & Employment Innovation and Technology Board. Mr. Forman was ranked by Chambers USA in Michigan for Labor & Employment (2011-2015); selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America in Labor and Employment Law (2010-2011) and Employment Law-Management and Labor Law-Management (2012-2015); and named one of the “Up and Comers” on Lawdragon‘s “Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” list (2014).
Mr. Forman’s experience includes defending against wage and hour disputes and claims of wrongful discharge, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation; representing management in labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and collective bargaining; regularly advising employers about issues and policies related to social media and the online conduct of employees; and training workforces on employment law topics, such as how to conduct a workplace investigation.
