New York, NY (December 15, 2020)Epstein Becker Green (“EBG”) is pleased to announce that Susan Gross Sholinsky has been named to City & State New York’s “The Responsible 100,” an annual list honoring individuals whose work is making life better in communities in New York City and across the state.

City & State will honor New York’s 100 most outstanding corporate citizens at a virtual celebration on December 16, recognizing an elite group of the state’s most powerful executives, thought leaders, visionaries, and influencers who are setting new standards of excellence, dedication, and leadership in improving their communities and making transformative change.

Ms. Sholinsky is recognized among leaders in government, business, health care, education, and nonprofit organizations, among other fields.

In discussing the nature of her work, Ms. Sholinsky stated, “I am able to help clients comply with employment laws by preparing and reviewing policies and procedures; providing anti-harassment, diversity, equity, and inclusion training; and conducting workplace investigations, among other services.” Ms. Sholinsky added that, in 2020, “this has included navigating employers through COVID-19 – maintaining safe workplaces, keeping employees healthy, and properly accommodating employees' needs.”

Ms. Sholinsky is a Member of the Firm in its New York office, where she serves as Vice Chair of both the Firm’s Employment, Labor & Workforce Management practice and its Diversity & Professional Development Committee. Ms. Sholinsky also engages in civic activities outside the Firm, including recently serving as Co-Chair of the New York Conversation on Board Diversity for 2020 Women on Boards.

Ms. Sholinsky regularly advises employers on all facets of the employment relationship, from pre-employment considerations and hiring to terminations and post-employment restrictions. She develops and audits employers' policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local law and best practices, and also counsels employers on avoiding disputes over matters stemming from employee discipline, leaves of absence, accommodation requests, and termination of employment (including voluntary and involuntary reductions in force).
