Washington, DC (November 19, 2018)Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that six attorneys have been promoted to Members of the Firm, effective January 1, 2019. Earning a place in this year’s class are Carly Eisenberg Hoinacki (Health Care and Life Sciences, New York), John “Jack” Linehan (Health Care and Life Sciences, Baltimore), Colin McCulloch (Health Care and Life Sciences, Washington, DC), Kat Paterno (Employment, Labor & Workforce Management, Los Angeles), Andrew Shapiro (Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, New York), and Victoria Sheridan (Health Care and Life Sciences, Newark).

Ms. Hoinacki’s practice focuses on health care transactions and regulatory compliance matters.  She represents a wide array of for-profit and not-for-profit health care industry clients in all aspects of the structuring, negotiation, and execution of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other contractual arrangements. She has experience counseling clients on federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws as well as other regulatory matters.

Mr. Linehan’s practice focuses on pharmacy law, drug distribution and reimbursement, and related fraud and abuse issues, government investigations, and litigation matters. Mr. Linehan provides representation to retail and specialty pharmacies, drug manufacturers and distributors, pharmacy benefit managers, insurers, and other health care providers and suppliers.

Mr. McCulloch provides corporate and regulatory advice to hospital systems; advises clients on federal and state antitrust issues; and counsels businesses on mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. His clients include for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals, nursing homes, surgery centers, physician groups, and other provider organizations and businesses.

Ms. Paterno represents and provides counseling to employers on traditional labor and general employment issues.  Her practice focuses on representing employers in a broad array of traditional labor law matters, such as labor arbitrations, collective bargaining agreement negotiations, labor hearings and representation cases, as well as counseling on labor relations, wage and hour, and other employment-related matters.

Mr. Shapiro counsels both public and private companies, fund sponsors, as well senior executives, on a wide range of executive compensation and employee benefits matters. His experience includes advising in the context of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions, as well as ongoing executive compensation and benefits arrangements, including all aspects of their design, implementation, and disclosure. 

Ms. Sheridan’s experience includes representing a diverse group of health care providers, such as hospitals, physician groups, clinical laboratories, health care management companies, and other health care facilities and businesses, in various aspects of health care transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and alignment models, as well as counseling on regulatory matters, including anti-kickback and self-referral laws.
