Following is an excerpt:
An employment attorney and former co-chair of Littler Mendelson PC’s alternative dispute resolution practice group has joined Epstein Becker Green as a partner in Los Angeles, the firm announced Monday. …
Patajo told Law360 Pulse that she was impressed with Epstein Becker’s employment capabilities, including through its strategic partnership with Deloitte.
“Epstein Becker Green is a fantastic firm and has a fantastic platform to service the types of clients [and] labor and employment law I specialize in order to help advise them in the ever-changing times we are faced with,” she said.
“And with their alliance with Deloitte,” she added, “they are poised to provide timely and prompt advice in over 70 countries. It’s quite impressive and it’s what clients are looking for nowadays.”
She said she was also pleased to rejoin two former colleagues from Littler, employment attorneys James Oh and Amy Ramsey, who joined the firm as partners in 2019 and 2020, respectively.
She said that in moving to the 280-attorney Epstein Becker from the 1,000 attorney Littler, the size of the firm was less on her mind than the quality.
“In looking for a firm, I was looking to ensure I was making a move to a firm that provided the wealth of experience and the deep bench of attorneys … in the space of labor and employment,” she said. “You can get that with a large firm, but you can also get that with a small firm. At the end of the day, it’s not about how large the firm is or how small the firm is, but the people.”
