Epstein, Becker & Green was featured prominently in the Economist magazine as a source of information on medical tourism for an article, "Globalization and health care: Operating profit."
The article noted that, according to the Firm, large employers have recently become interested in promoting medical travel among those employees they insure, amid rising health costs.
The article also reported that, according to EBG, insurers are now offering voluntary "global medical travel" options as part of their corporate plans, while other insurers are concerned that they may be at a disadvantage if they do not offer such plans.
