David Jacobs, Managing Shareholder of the Los Angeles Office, and Regina Musolino, Member of the Firm in the Labor and Employment practice in the Los Angeles Office, were quoted in article titled "Epstein Becker Picks Up 3 Employment Partners in L.A."
Following is an excerpt:
Epstein Becker Green has beefed up its Los Angeles employment law practice, hiring three partners from two different firms. Wage-and-hour practitioner Regina Musolino has arrived from Seyfarth Shaw and employee benefits partners Samuel Krause and David McFarlane have joined from Snell & Wilmer.
David Jacobs said the firm has been trying to grow its L.A. office, which he heads up. "The wage-and-hour practice has been expanding by leaps and bounds," Jacobs said. "It's an area we want to target, it's an area we're good at, and we want to grow it."
Jacobs said Epstein Becker has worked with Avalon Bay real estate company and American Medical Response, among other clients. Jacobs said Krause and McFarlane are the firm's first employee benefits attorneys on the West Coast. Epstein has 10 employee benefits lawyers on the East Coast.
Musolino, who had spent six years as partner at Seyfarth and has worked with companies like Countrywide Home Loans, said she saw an opportunity to expand her wage-and-hour practice, particularly in the health care area. "The health care arena has definitely seen an increase in employment cases," Musolino said. "Wage-and-hour cases seem to be targeted at the health care industry."
