Bradley Thompson, a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences Practice in the Washington, DC office, was quoted in an article in BNA's Medical Devices Law & Industry Report about the Food and Drug Administration's plan to form a task force that would increase the agency's transparency with the public.
In the article, "Transparency Task Force To Make Agency More Open to Public," Thompson said transparency could help industry in terms of developing new and useful guidance from the agency. He said, however, that the FDA is not spending enough time up front asking for industry input on the key questions that need to be answered in guidance "in order to meet the public health need for new devices."
