Device industry groups praised the rule. The Combination Products Coalition (CPC) “strongly supports” the use of symbols in labels because symbols will lead to fewer labeling errors and offer several other benefits over the written word, Bradley Merrill Thompson, the group's general counsel, told Bloomberg BNA June 14. Combination products combine drug, device and/or biological products into a single unit. Thompson is a Washington-based life sciences attorney with Epstein Becker & Green PC.
