Epstein Becker Green (EBG) successfully defended a client in a False Claims Act case brought by a U.S. District Attorney’s Office. Federal prosecutors alleged that a hospital operator obtained millions of dollars in Paycheck Protection Program loans and Provider Relief Funds in violation of the False Claims Act and that our client was unjustly enriched when the hospital operator used that money to repay millions of dollars of loans held by our client. EBG successfully obtained a dismissal for our client.
