Value-Based Arrangements Under the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute: New Rules, New Challenges, New Opportunities
Anjali N.C. Downs and Victoria Vaskov Sheridan, Members of the Firm, will co-present "Value-Based Arrangements Under the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute: New Rules, New Challenges, New Opportunities," a webinar hosted by the Women Business Leaders of the U.S. Health Care Industry Foundation (WBL).
On November 20, 2020, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Inspector General published new rules advancing the transition to value-based care and modernizing the regulatory framework around the Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law. These companion final rules are the culmination of the agencies’ efforts to revise regulations to address obstacles to coordinated care. Through this session, we will provide information and potential answers to the following questions:
- What do you need to know about the new value-based rules?
- Why are the new rules important and how do they potentially apply in the current market?
- What challenges and opportunities are presented by the new rules?
