Gary Herschman, Member of the Firm, will co-present "Two-Step in Harmony - Hospital 'Partnerships' with National Centers of Excellence," a panel discussion at the American Health Lawyers Association Health Care Transactions Program, which runs from May 17 to 18, 2016.
The Health Care Transactions Program is a unique opportunity to learn the latest commercial developments, business strategies, and deal forecasts with in the health care industry. This session will discuss the business and legal issues involved in establishing a partnership between hospitals and national centers of excellence. The variety of legal structures available, as well as the key provisions needed in the affiliation agreements, will be presented from both parties' perspective. The panelists will reflect on lessons learned, pitfalls to avoid, and other practical recommendations to keep in mind when creating hospital and center for excellence relationships.
