Epstein Becker Green Launches Employers and the New Administration, a Special Podcast Series

New York, NY (February 10, 2021) – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is excited to launch Employers and the New Administration, a special podcast series from Employment Law This Week®. This series will go beyond the headlines. Employers will hear what to expect from the Biden administration in the first 100 days and get insights on adjusting workforce management strategy as legal, policy, and regulatory changes are made in Washington. Episodes will feature government, trade association, and industry insiders who are closely tracking the issues in employment and labor law that are being implemented by the Biden administration.

“With the Biden administration off and running, we are starting to see some signals of the regulations employers can anticipate over the next four years, and how those regulations will impact things like compliance and the approach to litigation,” said David Garland, Chair of the firm’s National Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Steering Committee and a leader in the new special series.

“As we approach our 200th episode of Employment Law This Week, and at a critical time for employers, I’m honored to continue to bring our listeners the latest news that is most important to them in their roles as HR and in-house leaders,” said George Carroll Whipple, host of Employment Law This Week and the new special series. “Our special podcast series will build on the value we’ve added for our audience for over five years.”

On our first episode, we ask, “Who exactly is Labor Secretary nominee Marty Walsh and what does his appointment mean for employers?” Walsh is coming off two terms as mayor of Boston, and he made his mark before that as a popular labor leader and community activist. His leadership could indicate a major shift at the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). The episode features guest Gregory Keating, a Member of the Firm in EBG’s Boston office, who has testified before the U.S. Senate on creating effective compliance programs and who served for four years on the DOL’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee.

The Employers and the New Administration special podcast series will air on the firm’s website and on your preferred platform – Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Overcast, Spotify, Stitcher.
