The DOJ’s ADA Barrier-Free Health Care Initiative and the New ACA § 1557 Non-Discrimination Rule
Frank C. Morris, Jr., Member of the Firm, presents "The DOJ's ADA Barrier-Free Health Care Initiative and the New ACA § 1557 Non-Discrimination Rule," a Clear Law Institute webinar.
The U.S. Department of Justice (“DOJ”) and the U.S. Access Board have issued highly technical requirements for removal of barriers faced by individuals with disabilities and recently have focused heavily on the health care industry. In addition, there are major new non-discrimination and affirmative requirements under the final rule promulgated by the Department of Health & Human Services under § 1557 of the ACA. In this webinar, attendees learn how to comply with the new laws and regulations relating to accommodation of individuals with disabilities and avoid DOJ, OCR, and private actions under the ADA, the Rehab Act, and the ACA.
