This position requires extensive familiarity with accessibility issues (e.g., the ADA, Rehabilitation Act, and equivalent state/local laws) and with public accommodation issues. Experience with Federal court employment litigation, particularly litigation under Title III of the ADA, as well as experience with the DOJ, state or local regulatory investigations regarding accessibility are required. Also, experience against major advocacy groups for the disabled and/or regular accessibility Plaintiff’s counsel and experience with reasonable accommodation/leave issues under Title I of the ADA and the FMLA preferred. The Los Angeles office Epstein Becker & Green seeks an attorney to work at the level of a third to seventh year associate to join its growing national management-side Employment, Labor and Workforce Management practice.
This position requires three to seven years’ experience with employment law, specifically wage-and-hour law including experience defending complex wage-and-hour litigation matters. The ideal candidate should have experience handling all aspects of litigation, such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored documents, drafting pleadings and various motions and briefs including but not limited to oppositions to class certification motions, conducting and defending depositions, interacting with clients and opposing counsel, and attending to certain court appearances.
