An intelligent strategy for getting things done ...

“I hope that I haven’t been doing this regulatory policy stuff so long that I’m now drinking the Kool-Aid. I have been doing this over 30 years, and hopefully I’m smart enough to know the difference between earnest progress and lip service. But I really do feel as though the Gottlieb-led FDA has been making earnest progress over the last hundred days. There is certainly a huge amount of work yet to be done, indeed most of the actual work, but I certainly didn’t expect all of that to be completed in the first hundred days. It seems to me that Commissioner Gottlieb has been focused initially on low hanging, bipartisan fruit, areas where he can make some quick, consensus-based progress. And frankly, I think that’s exactly the right thing to do in a town where so often nothing gets done.” —Brad Thompson, attorney at Epstein, Becker & Green
