Katherine Rollins Lofft, Prominent Business Law Attorney, Joins Epstein Becker Green’s D.C. Office

New York (Sept. 2, 2010) — National law firm Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Katherine Rollins Lofft, a prominent business law attorney, has joined as a Member of the Firm in the Business Law practice in the Washington, D.C., office.

Lofft is a former Senior Vice President and General Counsel (Commercial Finance) for GE Healthcare Financial Services in Bethesda, Md. Her principal areas of focus are in commercial financing, including asset-based and asset-backed secured credit facilities, working capital facilities, acquisition financings, leveraged recapitalizations, real estate financings, equipment leases, debtor-in-possession and exit financings, capital markets transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

While at GE, Lofft focused on capital facilities, acquisition financings, capital markets transactions, and debtor-in-possession and exit financing. One of her greatest accomplishments at GE was working with a legal department that closed approximately $1.7 billion in new business in a single year. Lofft also served as principal of Alliance Legal Services in Park City, Utah, which provided legal services to new and emerging companies. Prior to this, she was senior vice president and general counsel for Ancestry.com, formerly MyFamily.com, in Provo, Utah, and vice president and assistant general counsel of ORBCOMM Global in Herndon, Va.

Lofft was the co-founder and co-chair of Park City Chapter's Utah Moms for Clean Air and served on several boards of directors' executive committees, including the Association of Corporate Counsel for the Mountain West Chapter, Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake. She was also an adjunct instructor for the Business Law and Business Communications course at Eagle Gate College. Lofft has a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
