New York, NY (February 9, 2011) — National law firm Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that Joseph J. Kempf, Jr. has joined as Senior Counsel in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice in the New York office.

Kempf focuses his practice on managed care and related regulatory matters. He also has extensive experience dealing with state regulators, product development, member appeals and grievances, and mandate interpretation and implementation. Prior to joining Epstein Becker Green, Kempf was Vice President and Plan Counsel for Health Net of the Northeast Inc. in Shelton, Conn., for more than 10 years. Earlier in his career, he was the Director of Regulatory Compliance for Oxford Health Plans and served as Assistant Legal Director for Aetna Life Insurance Company.
