Epstein Becker Green’s Atlanta Office Honored By Association of Legal AdministratorsDecember 30, 2009
Epstein Becker Green is pleased to announce that the Firm's Atlanta office has been awarded the Atlanta Association of Legal Administrators "Spirit of AALA" trophy.
The Spirit of AALA trophy is awarded annually to the person or organization that exemplifies the characteristics necessary to help the organization achieve its mission: to promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and management in law firms and other legal service organizations and to represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large.
Epstein Becker Green's Atlanta office was recognized for its encouragement of membership in AALA, allowing its AALA members to be active and to seek positions at the committee, section and board levels and supporting full participation in AALA events. "We have benefited time and again from the involvement and expertise" of the Atlanta office, the AALA said.
The AALA noted in particular the contributions of three members of the Atlanta office:
Jeff Hamrick, a former AALA Chapter President, who has served on the AALA board for six years. Hamrick has also served on numerous AALA committees, and volunteered for many community service projects;
Michael Steele, who has served as the AALA Technology Committee Chair for two years and has volunteered for numerous community service projects;
Lana Arms, who has served on the AALA Business Partnership Lunch Committee for four years and has volunteered for numerous community service projects.
The trophy was accepted on behalf of the Firm by Maxine Hicks, Managing Shareholder of the Atlanta office, who congratulated the members of the EBG team and praised their dedication and service to the AALA.
