Epstein Becker Green Recognized by BTI Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook 2019 as a “Mover & Shaker”September 6, 2018
Washington, DC – September 6, 2018 – Epstein Becker Green (EBG) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized in a new report, BTI Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook 2019: Clients Rank Their Needs and Law Firm Performance, as a “Mover & Shaker.”
EBG is among the top quarter of firms designated as true movers and shakers, which, according to the report, includes firms that are both “changing the way legal services are delivered” and “disrupting the legal industry by making strategic and tactical moves others don’t.”
The inaugural BTI Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook report was based solely on unprompted feedback given by chief legal officers, general counsels, direct reports to general counsels, and other legal decision makers at the world’s largest and most influential companies.
In its methodology, the BTI Consulting Group explains that in more than 359 in-depth interviews, respondents were asked to identify the firms they see as:
- Making moves other don’t
- Adopting processes or technology others don’t use
- Focusing on the client experience at levels far surpassing everyone else
- Using technology to improve efficiency and meet specific client needs
Mark Lutes, Chair of EBG’s Board of Directors and a Member of the Firm in the Health Care and Life Sciences practice, stated the following:
“Innovation to meet client need has long been part of the firm’s fabric. We are pleased to see that this core tenet is being recognized by key leaders in the legal industry.
A very recent example arose out of client need for training and compliance in the #MeToo era. Our Employment, Labor & Workforce Management Practice developed a nationally compliant e-learning product, “Halting Harassment: Rules of the Road for a Respectful and Inclusive Workplace,” that meets the needs of employers to provide annual, interactive, anti-harassment training to all of their employees.
Earlier this year we launched the newest version of our Wage & Hour Guide for Employers app, and this fall clients will also be able to access our 50-State Survey of Telemental/Telebehavioral Health in app form.
I would also note that we continue to be the only law firm to offer value-added cyber security services to clients such as the HITRUST CSF certification. EBG also continues to offer value-added services through EBG Advisors, the firm’s national strategy and management consultancy.
We will continue to work with our clients to design tools that help them address exposures that they face.”
